Restore and Overwrite Content

If you would like your entire site restored from backups without having to worry about uncompressing the backup and putting it into place manually, then take the following steps. This guide uses the example of restoring your primary web directory, public_html.

1. Click the "Browse" button next to the restore point you would like to restore from.

2. Navigate (by double-clicking on folder names) to the location of the folder you need to restore. Check the box to the left of the folder in question. In this case, I have selected "public_html" inside the "home" directory.

3. At the top of the "Browse Recovery Point" window, select the "Restore Selected" button.

4. Select "Restore" on the verification pop-up. This pop-up warns you that your existing files will be overwritten. You will not be able to recover files that you overwrite.

5. Allow this process to complete. Depending on the size of the directory, this may take some time. It is best to leave the window open to ensure that your files are restored successfully.

6. Once your restore finishes successfully, TEST all the files for your account, to ensure that this backup will resolve your issues.

If you also need a MySQL database restored (many site issues are tied to database trouble), contact support. Additionally, you can try repairing and optimizing your database
