How To Navigate Softaculous Toolbar

If you do not know what Softaculous is, see here.

The toolbar in the top right corner has a few different options that can help you navigate and manage your software through Softaculous. The main navigation buttons are in the upper right of the window:

Here is a summary of each navigation option:
softaculousbasic1.jpg"Go to Control Panel" will return you to the cPanel Home.

softaculousbasic2.jpg"Softaculous Home" will bring you back to the home screen of Softaculous itself.

softaculousbasic3.jpg"Script Demos" allows you to test some of the applications available through Softaculous. They run in your browser and do not require you to download or install anything.

softaculousbasic4.jpg"Script Ratings" displays reviews, screenshots, and more for the software available through Softaculous. This will help you decide what script will work best for your needs.

softaculousbasic5.jpg "All Installations" lets you see and manage all the scripts you've installed to your account already. This is one of the most useful screens as you can modify, update, or remove installations through this tool.

Under "All Installations" you will see a screen similar to this:

From the page above you can:

  • Remove/Delete Installations ( x.png ),
  • you can run a backup on your Installations ( backup.png ),
  • and edit existing Installation details ( edit.png ). You can modify the main directory where an install resides, modify the site URL, and update database information for that install.

softaculousbasic7.jpg"Edit Settings" will help you modify the overall Softaculous settings, such as language and timezones that you need to be displayed.

softaculousbasic8.jpg"Backups and Restore" will take you to any current backups you have of your scripts.

From the backup screen, you can:

  • download backups ( download.png ),
  • restore the backup over the existing install ( restore.png ),
  • or delete a backup ( x.png ).

softaculousbasic9.jpg"Email Settings" is useful for adjusting how and when Softaculous keeps you updated.
By default, it will send an e-mail whenever there is a new install, or when software is deleted.

You will also receive e-mails when updates are available for existing installs. You can configure what address those messages are sent to, and which notifications you would like to receive from the tool.

softaculousbasic11.jpg"Synchronize with other Auto Installers" can find previous existing installs that may have been imported from other automatic install tools.
Sometimes Softaculous can find existing installs and import them to be managed from the same location.

softaculousbasic12.jpg"Help and Support" is the final navigation button, and lists a few Frequently Asked Questions and the associated answers.
This document covers a variety of them for you already.
