Pre-Order gTLD Domains Terms

  1. WestHost pre-ordering of new gTLD domain names operates on a first come first served basis. If the domain name in question is pre-ordered with us by another customer before your own their registration will be submitted first.
  2. The Client acknowledges that whilst WestHost will use its reasonable endeavours to register a pre-ordered new gTLD domain, WestHost does not accept any liability if the new gTLD domain name (for whatsoever reason) is incapable of being registered. WestHost's obligation in regards registering the pre-ordered new gTLD domain name is limited to forwarding the application submitted by the Client for registration with the registrar of the new gTLD domain name. WestHost in no way shape or form guarantees the successful registration of the pre-ordered new gTLD domain.
  3. We may use third party providers for the pre-registration of domain names.
  4. Refunds on the total amount paid in seeking to register the new gTLD domain name(s) will only be given if the Client has failed in obtaining the registration of their new gTLD domain.
  5. Payment for the new gTLD domain you have pre-ordered will be taken at the time of placing the pre-order.
  6. Refunds will not be given (regardless of the reason for their request) if the Client has been successful in obtaining the registration of their new gTLD domain name(s).
  7. Clients acknowledge that the domain Launch Date is not within the control of WestHost and is therefore subject to change. If the Launch Date does change, WestHost shall use reasonable endeavours to notify the Client of the change.
  8. After the Launch Date WestHost shall cease to offer the pre-order service for new gTLD domain name that has become available for general purchase.
  9. WestHost reserves the right to end this service, extend this service and or amend the terms and conditions of this service at any time without the prior notice or consent of the Client. Reasonable usage applies.
  10. In addition to these terms WestHost's general Terms of Service apply.

Additional Domains Registration Terms

.NYC

The City of New York desires to have only those individuals or entities having a substantive and lawful connection to the City be permitted to register for .NYC domain names.

  1. Registrants for .NYC domains must be either:
    1. a natural person whose primary place of domicile is a valid physical address in one of the five boroughs of New York City
    2. an entity or organization that has a physical street address in one of the five boroughs of New York City
  2. P.O. Box and proxy addresses do not qualify for registration
  3. Registrants must agree that they are in compliance with all relevant Federal, New York State and New York City laws and tax requirements
  4. Registrants must remain in compliance with the applicable Nexus Policy for the duration of domain's registration
  5. Registrants may not license, sub-delegate or otherwise transfer .NYC domain names to third parties that otherwise fail to meet the above requirements
  6. If you do not qualify for the above, the .nyc domain registration will fail
  7. In addition to these terms WestHost's Pre-Order gTLD Domains Terms apply
  8. In addition to these terms WestHost's general Terms of Service apply.
