What Kind Of Verification Of Domain Names Does WestHost Use

Without verifying the domain registration password or the last four digits of the domain's credit card number, Westhost Reps are only allowed to send the password reminder to the registrant e-mail address in WHOIS.

HOWEVER, the “admin contact” in WHOIS has permission to change any info. The “tech contact” in WHOIS has permission to change DNS servers only.

If the registrant is wrong, but you are the admin contact or tech contact, we can send a one-time verification code to the admin contact e-mail address, then when you read the code back to someone at WestHost, we can make the changes to your request (for tech contact, only changes are DNS changes).
