How To Create An Email Account In cPanel

This article is for cPanel Accounts. Determine where your account is with this guide.

You can create a new email address on your account in cPanel with the following steps.

Login to your cPanel and click on the "Mail Accounts" button. The form for a new account is at the top of the mail accounts page.

Enter a username for the account [eg admin or sales] and choose the domain you want to set up for the account from the drop-down menu next to the username [if you have more than one domain set up in your cPanel].

Enter an account password and enter it again to verify it.

Finally you can set an account quota for each email account that you create. This will be the maximum amount of disk space the account will be allowed to use on the server including the inbox, spam, and sent e-mail.
If you use IMAP or Webmail all the e-mail is stored on the server so you may want a larger quota. If you plan on using POP3, this quota can be smaller since all the e-mail is downloaded to your local computer.

Click on the "Create Account" button to set up the user.
