How To Connect Email Accounts To A Mail Client


This article is for cPanel Accounts. Determine where your account is with this guide.

You can find the details needed to set up your email accounts in cPanel >> Mail Accounts. Next to the e-mail address you want to set up, click the "More" button. From there click on the "Configure Mail Client" option.

you will need to configure the mail client manually.


Here are the manual generic setup instructions.

Mail Server Username: user+yourdomain.com (because of how cPanel is configured, user@domain.com will ALSO work for your connection, in almost all cases)
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) sl-507-#.slc.westdc.net [Your server number]
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com (server requires authentication)port 2525
Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) sl-507-#.slc.westdc.net (server requires authentication)port 465

Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

If you have issues configuring your e-mail client to connect to a user account, please ensure that these settings are correct and that you are using the correct password for the account. After that has been reveiwed please contact Tech Support for further assistance.
