Additional properties for SMTP:

  • POP before SMTP: Select the checkbox to enable POP before SMTP to account(s). POP before SMTP is a method for authenticating users before they send mail through a mail server. This method does not apply to local e-mail messages (e-mail messages from/to local e-mail accounts). If the feature is enabled, then the user must check for incoming e-mail messages before sending e-mail messages. For example: If you are using Outlook Express 6.0 then click the Receive All button before sending e-mail messages. The user must send the e-mail message during the interval that is defined in the POP before the SMTP field. Otherwise, he/she must click the Receive All button again.

  • Server Type: Select the server type from the drop-down.

  • Command-line alias: Select this to enable command-line aliases.
