Edit Service Package To Set Parameters In Site Manager

  • Select a basic service package or Add-On.

  • IP Mode: Select the type of account for the service package. There are two types of VPSs (also referred to as accounts)

    • Name-Based VPS: A VPS whose IP address is shared with other VPSs (The other VPSs are also Name-Based VPSs).

    • IP-Based VPS:  This is a VPS that has its proprietary IP address.

  • Max DNS Records: Enter the maximum amount of DNS records that the account owner with this service package shall be allowed to create. Select the Unlimited checkbox to enable the account owner with this service package to create an unlimited number of DNS records.

The minimum number of DNS records needed by a default account is 10. The Max DNS Records must also be higher than the total number of DNS records needed plus the number of sub-domains that the account will be able to add.

  • Maximum Additional Domains: Enter the maximum amount of additional domains that the account owner with this service package shall be allowed to create. To enter a specific number, select Other and then enter the number. Select the Unlimited checkbox to enable the account owner with this service package to create an unlimited number of additional domains.

To have a temporary domain (e.g. yourdomain.com.yourtempsite.com) added to newly created accounts automatically, you will need to make sure that you set your Maximum Additional Domains limit to 1 or more. Also, be aware that any temporary domains will count against the number of additional domains in the assigned service package.

  • Allow Remote Access: Select the checkbox to enable access to the account(s) via Telnet.

  • Allow Cron Jobs: Select the checkbox to enable cron jobs.

  • Account owner default FTP directory: You can set the default FTP directory for the account owner here.

  • Account users(s) FTP directory prefix(es): You can set the FTP directory prefix(es) for the account users here.

  • The hard and soft limit for bandwidth and disk quota: When the account reaches the disk space soft limit (95% usage), then the account owner and the parent owner (administrator or reseller) will get an e-mail notification. Seven days are given to drop back below the soft limit. After that, the system behaves as if the account has exceeded the disk space quota, and no additional files can be stored. An account cannot exceed its hard limit quota but when it reaches the hard limit quota the account parent (reseller or administrator) will receive an e-mail notification indicating that the account is going to be blocked (If it reaches the disk space quota) or disabled (If it reached the bandwidth quota).

    • Disk Quota (MB): Enter hard and soft limits for this property.

    • Bandwidth Quota (MB): Enter hard and soft limits for this property. To enter a specific number, select Other and then enter the number. Select Unlimited to enable unlimited bandwidth to the account.

    • Block when quota reached: Block the VPS when the bandwidth quota has been reached. Can be set only if the bandwidth quota is set to a value other than unlimited.
