Subdomain Hosting
With Subdomain support, you can place a word or phrase in place of the standard "www" (subdomain.domain.com) and redirect all requests for that URL to a different directory within your website. Example: help.yourdomain.com goes to yourdomain.com/help/
WestHost also offers subdomain hosting for anyone that does not have their own domain name and does not want to register a new one. When signing up for a hosting account, choose the option "Use a WestHost Domain", then type in any combinations of letters and/or numbers in front of ".whsites.net". For example yourname.whsites.net.
Once you have a hosting account, you can set up your own subdomains directly from your control panel (Site Manager).
