A DS-3, also called a T-3 represents an extremely fast telecommunication connection to the backbone of the Internet carrying up to 45 Mpbs of data. WestHost currently utilizes multiple DS-3 connections, with scalability to OC-48 and beyond (48 times the amount of a single DS-3).
