Domain Name Registrar
Domain names are registered with an ICANN accredited "registrars" (Network Solutions, Register.com, etc.). The domain registrar is a company responsible for managing a domain name. When hosting your website with WestHost, you can register a new domain name, transfer your domain from another "registrar" to WestHost, or have your current registrar point your domain name to WestHost's servers. WestHost offers domain registration for as little as $9.95 annually.
NOTE: In order to ensure a successful domain transfer from your current registrar, make sure your domain:
- Has not expired or is not within 14 days of expiring
- Has not been renewed within the last 45 days
- Has not been registered within the last 60 days
- Is not involved in any legal or payment dispute
