This Web site is actually a Miva shopping cart. Haley Productions sells downloadable
scavenger hunt games, murder mystery games, kids' games and team building activities.
Folks place an order on our shopping cart and download the game immediately.
What prompted you to build a Web site originally?
During the dot.com bust in the late 1990's our business was down, way down. We used to perform murder mystery dinners and produce scavenger hunts for corporate events. Short of going back to waitressing, Susan Haley needed to find another way to make ends meet so she came up with the idea to sell a do-it-yourself version of her programs online. Her Web site at WestHost was born.
What improvements would you like to make to your Web site in the future?
We'd like to offer more interactive options to our games: online invitations, a forum that doesn't get inundated with SPAM postings; we'd also like to offer a better checkout system much like the "big boys" offer (Amazon.com for example).
How has WestHost helped your business or Web site succeed?
Haley Productions makes more money selling their downloadable games than they ever made producing mystery dinners and scavenger hunts. Their shopping cart on WestHost has allowed the owner, Susan Haley, to leave behind the event productions and have an at-home business that runs itself 24/7. Anyone can place an order on the shopping cart and immediately download their game - any time of the day or night, no matter what the time zone. It's Susan's business dream come true and WestHost helped get her there.

WestHost support is the best, bar none. Those guys are just amazing! They're patient, they solve problems quickly and they never give up on the more difficult issues. They've never sent us away saying it must be someone else's problem (the shopping cart modules for example). They are great at getting Miva Merchant to respond and solve issues.

We've actually recommended many people to WestHost and they now host with the company. We love their consistency in great customer service and up time, their knowledge and expertise, their overall support, their response time, their dedication to their customers and their communication skills in responding to technical support issues. They do not farm out their technical support to another country where "technical support" is just laughable if you're not too busy being irritated.
