One of the more imaginative ways it creates a buzz around its famous browser (and integrates social media) is the foundation of an annual film contest called Firefox Flicks that is open to a global audience.
The contest rules ask the video creators to create a short video, which highlights something great about Firefox. This includes speed, security or ease of use.
“Today we are awarding 25 stellar entries,” said Firefox, which highlight some really innovative and fun user-generated videos from its growing list of fans.
The global list of winners was announced at the recent 2012 Cannes Film Festival. Edward Norton, famous Hollywood actor, was on hand to announce the winners.
